Building Regulations Drawings

The first stage of technical design is usually captured at the production of building regulations compliance drawings. CGA architects use the latest software and techniques to produce high quality detailed plans these can then be then used for contractors to give budget pricing and achieve pre sign off from the building regulations inspector. At this stage information from the Principal Designer, Structural Engineer or  any other technical consultant will be fed into the design to demonstrate compliance.

Construction Drawings

CGA Architects in Bristol usually produce working  drawings or construction drawings where the project is complex, unusual in finish or the client demands a high specification. The building regulations drawings are further improved by introducing 1:5 detailing for various key junctions, this is often done once a contractor is selected to fully price the project.

This is usually accompanied with a specification of works that is fed into contract documentation for a JCT contract, helping to tie down all the technical details needed to produce the project.

CGA's architects can also be on hand as project administrator to review and issue new technical guidance and sketches through out the construction phase if required by the client or contractor.
